Starting an online business

Well traffic on both of my sites is picking up which is nice. By the looking of it, people are actually starting to trust the www.linkcrazy.co.uk site more, by the amount of pages they are viewing as well as the amount of banners they are clicking!! Thats really great for me as it shows the site is looking a little better. If people have time, please take a look and let me know your HONEST opinion. I need all the advice I can.

As for the adult site. Well as I said earlier, traffic is increasing. Getting alot of page views but no one is registering. I have seen another adult forum made from the same company as mine and they have over 100 members..... ? Perhaps more content and activity. Well back to the sites..... so much to do!

Well its now been 2 weeks since I started my site. It began very well but now the traffic has dropped off and its hard to get people to stick around and take a look at the new content. I am adding new links everyday as well as new sections but still cant get people to stay. Hopefully the new discount code section will help drum up interest. www.linkcrazy.co.uk/disount.html

I need to get the name out and advertise alot but without a lot of cash its impossible. I just dont have the time to find, register and post on forums all day. Expecially as most forums dont like you posting adverts in your posts..... :-( Need a miricle here........

In addition to that, I thought it would be a smart idea to open up an Adult forum..... (over 18s only) This however is going a little better. People like it just need more people to join in. Take part. http://sexualdesire.adultforumhost.com/

So if anyone has any ideas how to create more traffic, please, PLEASE let me know. Even if its just you posting the address in a few places, everything helps.

Well this was an added bonus to my website experience. Dixons sent me an email stating that they had money off, offers on there tvs. Told my parents about it and they were looking for a new tv. So I showed them the page I listed them on and would you beleive it. They bought it!!! Nice to be nice. www.linkcrazy.co.uk/latest.html

Concerning the website, its still going forward at 100% speed. The visits per day are increasing which is really good. Plus I now have access to ALOT more companies. Even to the point that I had William Hill on my site. Received an email from Ladbrokes asking if it was possible to get there add ABOVE William hills. Ha ha! Nice to know that a big company like Ladbrokes thinks the site is good enough to warrent sending an email. Anyway 8 emails later they got there position and I got a better deal.

However I have received one critisism. My website doesnt contain enough written words for the search engines to use. So now Im having to write wording on every page which isnt easy. After a while, all pages end up sounding the same! LOL. "On this page we have..."

Anyway... onwards and hopefully upwards!!!

Well its day 7 and things are going great. I am applying to the biggest retailers and one by one they are approving my site which is actually a big compliment. William Hill, British Telecom etc. Great news.

Had an issue yesterday though. Put up a new "adult" section, however I wasnt sure if it was perhaps a little too risky. http://www.linkcrazy.co.uk/Lingerieadult.html Especially as I also have a charities section. But seems like its being received without offence which is nice.

Also bought www.linkscrazy.co.uk domain this morning. Thinking that perhaps someone may type in LINKS instead of link so best to buy it now.

I am REALLY enjoying the whole experience which is excellent. Learning so much in a short space of time. Cant beleive that I have acheived all of this in just 7 days from the first idea.

Looking forward to the next 7 days of frustration.

All Im dreaming about is links and banners. Not sleeping much at all. Didnt realise I would be inputing so many links into the site. I have access now to thousands of links from the best highstreet and online stores but putting them on the website one at a time isnt easy. Nightmare to monitor and remove old links too.

But its been fun. Learnt so much in the past 6 days. Blimey, starting a website from idea to running in 6 days. Wouldnt of thought it possible. Ive even started to think about my next site.

Well things are looking good for my new website. Yesterday I got accepted to loads of high street retailers and some of the biggest names on the internet. They have looked at my site and liked what they saw obviously.

Amazon, ebay, comet, dixons, pcworld, autoglass, halfords, tescos to name but a few. Its really exciting now and considering the website is only 5 days old from conception I feel its going really well.

However last night was strange. Because I have been working so much on the site I actually dreamed about the site and all of the link and pages I have been through. Perhaps it was more like a nightmare! He he!

Well I'm tired. Been working on this website constantly for about 4 days. So many links, and login details to remember. So many sited to visit.

Perhaps I should of researched it a little more before starting it. Certainly feels that way. When I wrote above that I have been working on it for 4 days what I mean is I thought about the idea 4 days and 1hour ago and since then I have been creating it. Therefore the lack of research...... Oooops.
